God created the world in six days; according to the legends, it only took one battle between unnatural forces to tear it apart. The Cataclysm left the world in shambles, combining worlds and universes that ran parallel to each other. The moon was a graveyard full of zombified war machines; to visit it was tantamount to suicide. No one even knew what laid beyond the moon, as anyone who crossed the line simply never came back.

On Earth, the Central Earth Union formed. Built from the remains of the old governments, it was fraught with corruption and internal strife; it took years, but the power base has solidified. After an intense battle with foreign forces, the Union now controls all movement to Mars. This has worked well for the intelligence segment of the Union, known as the Hexenhammer that help the Union but maintain their own agenda and presence on Mars and beyond. As more and more threats develop, the Union deals with the challenges of an lack of internal unity while constantly expanding.

The space colonies have united around Side 4’s banner, forming the Frontier Commonwealth. Although initially set up as a democracy, a military junta has since taken over; this has led to a strong development of an imperialist and territorial acquisition mindset. The FC is now looking to use their technologies to mass produce more weapons in preparation to combat the CEU, whose expansion into Space and control of Mars poses a threat to colonial trade and autonomy. Negotiations have broken down and both sides realize that only solution is subjugation of the other.

Between those two major powers lies a third, Ambra Sestinas, a shadow organization that only recently emerged into the light. Blessed with advanced technology, they developed a mobile fortress and have claimed an intent to help the Union publicly. Secretly, they also support the Commonwealth, playing both against each other to their gain.They seek to expand their control, ostensibly for peace, but by encouraging war.

The extremist group Graveyard recovers from a challenging battle against the Union, which they lost. They are only biding time until their forces are ready to again go on the offensive. Elsewhere, in Australia, the Union of Australian Territories is seeking to challenge the CEU economically with the development of an Orbital Elevator, making mass transit of material between Earth and Space faster and more efficient.

Under the sea, the wretched Bio Gundam lurks, stalking sea-faring vessels. It’s spawn continues to harass the costs of various nations, but at least for the CEU, they have been repelled successfully so far. The techno-organic being that seeks to create stronger human hybrid progeny for yet unknown means, an effort monitored by Kodoq who guides the strongest ones towards specific paths of development.

But the Bio Gundam is joined by quickly legends of the Lord of the Deep, along with its many adherents. A vengeful yet protective lord, the story goes that he reigns over an under sea paradise, untouched by the horrors of the cataclysm. Although no one has found it, a particular Emperor of Paradise believes he has a connection to the Lord of the Deep; he is now on a mission to purse the unclean so he can lead his charges towards salvation.

Mars is a distant and yet very close warzone, with the battle already spilling into the Earth Sphere once. The Reinvented, a cyborg race seeking unification through technology, went from being the dominant power to being on equal terms with the Resistance, a force made up of unaltered humans. But a third party, known only by their eponymous “gas mask”, has attacked both forces. Stuck in limbo, the only potential game changer is the development of a new satellite weapon on Deimos by the Resistance – but will it be enough?
