Combat Style: The Eberhart quintuplets are in possession of only one Mobile Suit, with only one of the sisters serving as its pilot, this being the middlemost sister. The other four sisters serve, in different capacities, as a unit which functions as a whole. Individually, the five aren’t much of a threat, their unique talents not providing adequate skill-sets to a proper soldier. However, as a group they have the ability to be a truly terrifying adversary, with synchronization so complete one would think they were just one person. The team the sisters form can be likened to a special military squad, capable of performing the duties of a specialized strike team, with a technical finesse impressive for girls their age. The quintuplets, much to their strength and their detriment, serve in combat as both one and five.
*Susan- The captain, she provides command over the ship’s bridge and issues orders to her sisters during hostile situations, serving as the team leader of the girls.
*Philippa- The communications officer, it is her responsibility to gather intelligence, operating as the head of the ship’s Combat Information Center.
*Josephine- The pilot, fighting within the sister’s Mobile Suit, while the other girls lack the knowledge or talent to even sit inside one of the mechas.
*Caroline- The doctor, looking out for her sisters’ medical well-being, a physician first and foremost lacking in combat skills.
*Elizabeth- The mechanic, not only does she provide maintenance for the sisters’ Mobile Suit, but she is the head engineer for their ship as well.
Appearance: Genetically identical, despite their great beauty one cannot even say they are remarkable among their kind, for coordinators are always pretty and polished. Their uniqueness is therefore not in their individual appearances, but in their sameness, all a mirror of five. Each girl is lovely, with hair like cherry fire and eyes like crystal sea-glass, fair and small with gentle curves and angelic faces. Unassuming, they do not appear to be fighters, but normal girls their age. Radiating an aura of both individuality and identicality, the quintuplets at once evoke a sense of awe and disquiet, for their company together can be very striking indeed.
*Susan- A fashionista, her hair is short and edgy, her clothing always revealing and trendy.
*Philippa- The picture of practicality, comfortable without being bland, always wearing a black silk ribbon patterned with cerulean butterflies—a sentimental keepsake.
*Josephine- Cool if not rather outdoorsy, she always keeps earphones on her tussled head, listening to audio-books of famous generals and other military dissertations.
*Caroline- Pretty in pink, she favors cute and somewhat fluffy attire with a shoulder-length bob, exuding an air of innocence without being too saccharine for her age.
*Elizabeth- Modest and classy, with a preference for professional garments, her most eye-catching accessories are a collection of jeweled barrettes patterned on celestial objects.
Personality: Being one of five, the sisters are unfairly used to being treated as one, something which serves both to their advantage and detriment. Together, which is more often than not, they function in much the same unit as they do in combat. Generally, they are comfortable letting one of the first two do the talking, rarely the third and fifth. The dominant sister tends to change depending on the situation, whether in or out of combat, with arguments being rare and often catastrophic. Whenever a sister may be uncomfortable, one more familiar with the situation will take over, often without prompting from the others.
Their knowledge of themselves and each other is intuitive, though not perfect, with some situations creating environments in which the quintuplets chaff against each other. This need to express individuality, while important, therefore becomes a hindrance in these cases. Jealousy has been known to spark up between the sisters on occasion, settled sometimes slower than may be useful, typically at great emotional stress for the other three forced to peace-keep. However, the girls strength is also in each other, with each balancing the others’ weaknesses nicely. A lasting rift between them would be unheard of, as the very nature of their birth guarantees their cooperation, in addition to their individuality.
*Susan- A flashy girl, she is managerial and bossy, all at once domestic and lazy. Vain and selfish, she is prone to lecture her sisters, acting snobbish and self-centered. An unabashed slacker, she is more keen to using her feminine charm to get others to do her work for her, if she can help it. She has an easy-going and lackadaisical attitude lacking maturity, strength and security, shelling a beautiful and superficial doll struggling under the weighted responsibility of being foremost among the quintuplets.
*Philippa- Strong-Willed and aggressive, with a quickness to lash out at those she feels pose a threat to herself or her sisters, often dismissing those outside her family with a passing glance of annoyance or trepidation. Her rigid and intelligent nature makes her unable to see the value in creation for creation’s sake without reason or structured purpose. Taciturn and caustic, she struggles to maintain a semblance of independence as one of a collective of five, her short-temperedness and proud stubbornness born from a need to be seen as both herself and an Eberhart, leading to a possessiveness of those things precious to her she is afraid to lose.
*Josephine- Quiet and collected, though with a love of teasing, she has a passive demeanor that belies a surprisingly willful personality, she is a quirky tomboy that delights in literature. She rejects the idea of closeness to anybody that is not her sisters, the potential separation of her family being unbearable to her, for she adores her sisters above all others. Capable, charming and daring, she is so protective of her sisters she pilots a Mobile Suit for them.
*Caroline- Kind, gentle and sweet, she is a shy girl that serves as the biggest peace-keeper between the sisters and hates it the most when they fight. Painfully good natured, she is unfit for the perils her sisters face and is the most in need of their protection during combat. Always carrying herself like a proper lady, her too-naïve nature makes most of her successes in life largely accidental. Her sensitive and caring nature are easily manipulated by the sisters enemies, and as such has led her to be sheltered and coddled by her sisters. She is, however, surprisingly attuned to the emotional and mental states of others, with a quiet and perceptive wisdom that surprises her other four sisters at times with its clarity and sentimentality.
*Elizabeth- Brave and adventurous, she is witty and sarcastic, her feisty and sometimes spiteful actions arise out of insecurity for the future. She likes machines because she understands them, with people being too erratic and prone to hurt her or her sisters to read properly. Her hardened heart is more fragile than she would admit, even to her sisters, with the most secrets locked within her mind out of any of the other girls about their place in the coming conflicts. Practical and level-headed, she is the most grounded of the quintuplets, and serves to anchor them to their collective objectives when the force of their own individual personalities becomes too powerful and disruptive to complete their shared tasks.
Biography: The Eberhart quintuplets were born to Robert Gerald Eberhart and Ellen Margaret Curtis-Eberhart on the Colony of Fell Alexandria at Side 3, an idyllic and well developed Colony of little repute within Central Earth Union controlled territory, spending much of their lives within the Colony before venturing out on their own. In truth, only Robert Eberhart had been a Coordinator, their mother having been an Oldtype from Jacksonville, Florida brought to Side 3 by Dr. Eberhart. An eccentric geneticist, the doctor was fascinated with the idea of identicality in DNA, convincing his wife of the virtues of not just one but five perfect children. While Robert had wanted to develop the quintuplets within an artificial womb, his wife had insisted upon carrying the girls naturally, a choice leading to her death shortly after the girls’ birth. The death of his wife prompted Dr. Eberhart to forego his research, retiring quietly to raise the girls that were to be his greatest treasure, now also the source of his most painful memory.
As the years passed, the girls found it difficult growing up even among the genetically manipulated, the unusual nature of their planned conception making them curiosities even within the Colonies. To remedy this, they were sent to wealthy, private academies during much of their primary education. When they were children, the girls were dressed identically, a ritual they hated so much they forego any such semblance of it now unless forced. While it pleases their father, the girls do not enjoy large and gregarious parties for which they are the centers of attention, making them feel the pressure of performance and as empty ornaments. Additionally, while each of the girls feels the pain of their mother’s passing, Elizabeth harbors the most guilt over her death.
The quintuplets were well raised by the affluent position of their father, who provided his girls with the finest clothes and best education he could afford, wasting no expense on the acculturation of his precious daughters. By nineteen years old, with much adulation, Susan had degrees in Art and Psychology and Philippa in Japanese and Political Science. Josephine had joined the CEU’s military. Caroline was put through medical school with a PhD in Biology, and Elizabeth had gained degrees in Engineering and Computer Science. However, separation even at this time in their lives proved to be difficult for the girls, who made the decision to join together with Josephine’s military activities. They are still fresh within the CEU’s service, though within them is a collective sense of duty to the understanding of the human nature which secured their birth and doomed their existence all at once, resigning themselves to fight under the Central Earth Union’s banner until such time the disquiet within them has been laid to rest.
Other Information: In addition to their individual style and personality, each sister has a few traits that can be observed about their person, if one deigns to get to know each individually.
*Susan- Is a terrible cook, her sisters never let her cook for them, but may let her into a kitchen for their enemies.
*Philippa- Is a lover of stuffed animals, her bed is decorated with them, but she’ll never let on to that secret.
*Josephine- Is terrible at Mathematics, with her strength in languages, her computational abilities are sorely lacking.
*Caroline- Is a passionately aggressive drunk, she can’t hold her liquor at all and as such becomes passionate and domineering, being especially prone to stripping.
*Elizabeth- Is afraid of insects, not just arachnids, but anything that creeps and crawls.
